The most important thing for you to know is this - newborn photography is at it's best during the first week after your baby's arrival. We think the sweet spot is days 4-6 and we'll do our best to schedule your session then if possible.
During the first week, newborns are still sleepy and flexible, allowing me the best opportunity to coach them into a variety of wonderful poses and images. Newborns under a week tend to curl up more easily, and their deep newborn slumber is an important part of capturing them at this age.
Sessions with 2 and 3-week-old newborns are also an option, and these sessions tend to focus on simple and natural images.
We book most of our clients sessions during pregnancy, although we don't schedule the actual date of your session until your baby arrives. Once you've booked your session, I'll mark my calendar with your due date and then you'll just need to let me know when you're in labor or when baby arrives.
I keep a flexible schedule so that I can photograph each baby soon after birth. Since they arrive on their own timing, I do often have last minute openings available and I love to fit in extra families whenever I can!
